Uncle Ted nails it…again.

Ted Nugent Gives Passionate Response Over NFL Protests

“Real Americans have given their lives all over the world…”

The controversy continues after days of celebrities and public figures voicingtheir thoughts on the trend of NFL players kneeling during the national anthem.

But, rather than simply give an opinion, Ted Nugent used the opportunity to post a passage attributed to Stanislaus Drew.

Ted Nugent, known largely for his music, shared what he considered a fitting response amid a sea of arguments in a Facebook post titled “Take A Knee.”

You can see the entire passage here:

“When you use the banner under which they fought as a source for your displeasure, you dishonor the memories of those who bled for the very freedoms you have,” the post read.

This was just one of many lines expressing displeasure with the players who some believe have dishonored what the flag stands for.

“That’s what the red stripes mean,” the post continued. “It represents the blood of those who spilled a sea of it defending your liberty.”

The post suggests that by not standing during the national anthem, the players didn’t respect the sacrifices made by so many veterans.

“You haven’t an inkling what it took to get you where you are; but your ‘protest’ is duly noted,” the author wrote.
