Warrant issued for woman accused of falsely listing Duluth as address for public assistance

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) — Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of a woman charged with taking tens of thousands of dollars in public assistance.
According to court papers, 51-year-old Barbara Dixon was living in Superior, but allegedly getting public assitance in Minnesota.

Dixon has been charged, in St Louis County, with six counts of theft, perjury and wrongfully obtaining assistance.

Investigators say in just over a year, Dixon took more than $31,000 from the state.
According to Mark Stodghill of the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office, she allegedly listed a Duluth address as her address when she applied for benefits.
