A 45-year-old Duluth man was charged with first degree sale of heroin earlier this week, following his arrest by Duluth Police Department and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

Torrance Elion was arrested shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, following a search warrant at an address near Lake Avenue and Fifth Street, a Duluth Police Department news release said.

Investigators seized 15.2 grams of heroin, the news release said. Elion was taken to jail and charged in District Court, where his bail was set at $300,000.
