It seems that “Lucky” may not have been the most appropriate nickname for Akeem Dominique Thompson.

Duluth police said the 27-year-old Chicago man was taken into custody for heroin sales Monday during the execution of a search warrant on the 900 block of North 11th Avenue East. Also arrested in the search was Sarah Grace Yeske, 34, of Duluth.

Members of the Duluth Police Department and Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force seized 13 grams of heroin, packaged for individual sale, after conducting surveillance and several controlled buys over the course of a week, according to a criminal complaint.

The defendants were arraigned Wednesday in State District Court on one count each of felony first-degree sale of heroin. Senior Judge Gary Larson set bail at $100,000 for Thompson and $50,000 for Yeske.
