A part-time officer with the Spooner Police Department has resigned after he was arrested Saturday for drunken driving, authorities said.

Dustin Anderson, 26, was taken into custody by the Wisconsin State Patrol in Washburn County for first-offense OWI after he was involved in a single-vehicle rollover on County Road K at 9:35 p.m., according to a news release from the Patrol. He sustained what authorities said were non-life-threatening injuries.

Anderson, who was not on duty at the time of the incident, resigned from his position Monday, according to the Spooner Police Department.
