Five arrested following heroin raid worth $15,000 on the streets

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) — Five people, two from Chicago and the rest from Superior, face drug charges after authorities uncovered a street value of $15,000 worth of heroin.
Police raided a home in the 1500 Block of Ogden Ave. in Superior several weeks ago following an investigation of heroin trafficking.

Inside the residence they uncovered over 77 grams of heroin, over $6,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia items and marijuana.
Authorities have laid out the arrests of all the suspects:
“-Marshawn Johnson, 18, of Chicago was arrested outside of the residence after a short foot pursuit with investigators. Johnson was charged with possession with intent to deliver – heroin (10-50g) and resisting or obstructing an officer.
-Michael Jenkins, 18, of Chicago was arrested inside the residence. Jenkins is charged with possession with intent to deliver – heroin (10-50g).
-Matthew Thompson, 32, of Superior, Wis., was arrested inside the residence. Thompson is charged with possession with intent to deliver – heroin (10-50g) and possession of narcotic drugs.
-Lydia Higgins, 21, of Chetek, Wis., was arrested inside the residence. Higgins is charged with possession with intent to deliver – heroin (10-50g) and possession of narcotic drugs.
-Braxton Lahti, 21, of Superior, Wis., was arrested inside the residence. Lahti is charged with possession of narcotic drugs.”
The Northwest Area Crime Unit and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force are behind the investigation.
